They delivered a complete Adobe Commerce & Hyvä rebuild and relaunch in under 2 months, just in time for Nestlé’s busiest sales period of the year.

The Challenge: A Platform Holding Back Growth

Nestlé’s digital strategy for its three D2C brands, Nutrición es Vida, Vital Proteins, and Solgar, was being slowed down by technical limitations and inefficiencies. Their existing Adobe Commerce setup, originally built with the Luma theme, presented multiple challenges:

  • Messy and outdated codebase – Third-party modules clashed, causing compatibility issues and instability.
  • Inefficient operations – Manual product stock updates and a non-centralised database led to wasted time.
  • Limited flexibility for marketing teams - Basic tasks like bulk product updates were restricted.
  • Performance bottlenecks - Slow load times and UX issues impacted conversion rates.
  • Missed opportunities for innovation - Nestlé’s backlog of improvements kept growing, but the platform wasn’t scalable.

With Black Friday and peak sales season approaching, they needed a fast and reliable solution. Time was running out.

The Solution: A Fresh Start with Hyvä

  • Building a new Adobe Commerce instance - Eliminating technical debt and ensuring security compliance.
  • Switching to Hyvä - Drastically improving page speed, UX, and time-to-market.
  • Refining digital strategy - Aligning the relaunch with Nestlé’s long-term eCommerce goals.

The Results: A High-Performing, Future-Ready Platform

With an October 1st launch deadline, the team worked with laser focus to deliver the project on time. The impact was immediate and significant:

  • 52% increase in Q4 sales compared to the previous year
  • 60% sales growth in October and November, the peak promotional period
  • 50% improvement in web performance
  • Higher traffic, conversion rates, and lower bounce rates across all three sites:
    • 2.3 percentage point increase in conversion rates on Nutrición es Vida
    • 20 percentage point reduction in bounce rate on Vital Proteins
    • 114% increase in organic traffic on Solgar

Perhaps even more impressive? One of the most exciting findings from this project is the huge productivity gain. The move to Hyvä allowed the team to spend less time fixing issues and more time developing new features that drive real business value.

Hiberus and Nestlé were incredibly transparent in sharing their internal metrics, including figures that we rarely see in eCommerce projects. Even more impressive, the reality was more than double the initial forecasted improvement, showcasing the significant impact of Hyvä on their workflow and efficiency.

Some years ago we found Hyvä and we started implementing this theme through our projects and we became Hyvä contributors, by developing some B2B features to our Volkswagen project.

We do love Hyvä. Our developers love developing in Hyvä, and it was the fastest way to achieve this deadline.
